"One of the worlds greatest equestrian sculptors" - the Telegraph McKean has many public figure, portrait and animal commissions worldwide.

As a student at the R. A Schools Lorne Mckean won the Leverhulme scholarship, Silver medal for sculpture combined with architecture and The Feodora Gleichen scholarships.
Many Royal and public commissions include The Queen and the 28ft bronze Leeds birds “Flight” in City square and many figurative, portrait and water feature sculptures. “Her exhibitions have been an outstanding success with the public and critics alike and her work has gone to collections all over the world”.
Whenever possible Lorne likes to work from life as she finds direct contact with her subject inspires, and enlivens her work. The search for the essence of a subject has always attracted and fascinated her. Animals are her passion.

“It is her immense grasp of the principals of movement,as well as her technique, which makes her work so sought after” The Field
