Olivia Clifton-Bligh is an award winning sculptor working in bronze, paper and clay and a printmaker specialising in linocut and woodcut techniques.
My work explores the rich metaphorical language of oral storytelling traditions and our instinct for anthropomorphism and zoomorphism. I studied Art and Art History at Goldsmiths’ College (BA Hons 1990-93) and my studio is now based at Bull Mill Arts, an artists’ community established by Lord Bath on the Longleat Estate. My work is exhibited in London and throughout the UK, including The Kings Road Gallery (London), David Simon Contemporary (Bath), Long and Ryle (London), Delamore Arts (Devon), The Tabernacle Gallery (London) and the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition and I was awarded the Althea Wynne Sculpture Prize in 2014.
