Traditional attitudes towards the making of sculpture are of primary importance to John Mills.

Hammersmih School of Art 1947-1954

Royal College of Art 1956-1960
Part-time and full-time teaching in the UK and USA 1958-1977

Stopped teaching in 1977 to practice sculpture full-time and continue to do so. I have concentrated on exhibitions and commissions on an international basis. Principle commissions include the monument to ‘The Women of World War II’, Whitehall, London, unveiled by Queen Elizabeth II in 2005. My most recent exhibition was a retrospective at The Gibberd Gallery, Harlow in Essex during the summer of 2011.
