Colin Miller MRBS

“My aim is to evoke a feeling of exploration and participation in my audience, stimulating them emotionally as well as visually. Above all, I want to share the pleasure which I experience when creating my sculpture.”

I work in Bronze, Italian and Greek Marble, English stones and Westmorland Slate, and some wood. My work is both figurative and abstract and is characterised by its sensual and tactile qualities, combined with my use of organic elements and forms.  Nature, Greek mythology and the phenomenon of Creation are my principal sources of inspiration.  I like to keep my ideas and themes varied with no limitations.  The human figure plays an important part in my work, which moves freely from abstraction to representation.
