The RBS has ongoing opportunities for long and short term volunteer work in line with the exhibition, education, fundraising and archive activities. The RBS also welcomes volunteers who are able to help once or twice a month to support our busy events programme.
Current Opportunity - Membership & Communications Volunteer, 2 days per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Membership & Communications Volunteer to join us. Working as part of a small, lively team you will support the Membership Officer and Communications & Development Officer across a range of tasks.
As the Membership & Communications Volunteer, tasks will include researching opportunities and drafting copy for the weekly RBS Members' EBulletin; Maintaining the database; Assisting with Archive enquiries; Updating Members' Online profiles; Assisting with the RBS' social media accounts; Helping with events.
We are ideally looking for a minimum of a 6 month commitment to this role which would be 2 days per week (days to be negotiated). The RBS would reimburse up to £13 in daily travel and food expenses.
We are looking for a reliable individual who is keen to gain experience within the Arts and who wants to be involved with a variety of tasks. A high proficiency in the English language is important as you will be regularly editing copy and proof reading. A strong attention to detail is also important as is computer literacy. Ideally the successful applicant will have experience of working in an Arts organisation and/or a passion for developing a career in the Arts. An interest in sculpture would be advantageous.
